In November 2019, Lake Shore Lodge amalgamated with Connaught and Long Branch Lodges to form Superior Lodge No. 501. The new lodge meets on the old Lake Shore nights (Regular meeting on the 1st Monday of the month at 7:30 PM, emergent meetings on the 3rd Monday at 7:30 PM). Superior Lodge also meets at the old Lake Shore building, Connaught Masonic Hall, 23 Superior Avenue in Etobicoke.

We regret to announce the passing of R.W. Bro. Frank Dunn on February 8th, 2017 to the Grand Lodge Above. R.W. Bro Dunn was initiated, passed and raised in Credit Lodge No. 219 in 1961 and was a member of Lake Shore Lodge for nearly 52 years. He held several prestigious positions throughout his Masonic career including being Worshipful Master in 1978, Grand Junior Warden in 1987, was made a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason in 1993 and celebrated 50 years a Mason in March 2014.

We will cherish his memory in our hearts.


On Wednesday June 29, three brothers from Toronto West District attended the Port Elgin Lodge Coffee Club for an informal social gathering which was attended by about twenty five Masons, including the Grand Master and Deputy Grand Master.

Arthur Hayley of Cedar Lodge in Wiarton, who at 101 years of age, is proud to be the oldest Mason in Bruce District, Deputy Grand Master R. W. Bro. Paul E. Todd, Bro. Greg Durst of West Gate Lodge, Bro. Andrew Norwood of Lake Shore Lodge and W. Bro. Steve Toner of Mississauga Lodge.

On January 26th, in his 91st year, Worshipful Brother Don McConnell passed to the Grand Lodge above. A Masonic service was held at Jack and Thompson Funeral Home in Shelburne on January 29th in co-operation with Lorne Lodge No. 377. W. Bro. McConnell had recently celebrated 50 years in Masonry and we are saddened to see him go. We want to thank the brethren of Lorne Lodge in Shelburne for their hard work on Sunday evening and for engaging W. Bro. McConnell when he was still with us.

In his 89th year, Brother Ross Armstrong passed to the Grand Lodge above with his family by his side on Wednesday December 23rd, 2015. Brother Armstrong was the oldest member of Lake Shore Lodge, being a member for 65 years. A Masonic Memorial Service was held at Ridley Funeral Home in Etobicoke on Sunday December 28th with a very large contingent of brethren from across the jurisdiction.

The members of Lake Shore Lodge would like to extend their deepest condolences to R.W. Bros. David and Steven Armstrong and their families in this time of grieving.
